My name is Makia. I am so incredibly excited to be completing my internship and expanding my therapeutic skills at Sol Therapy!

In 2022, I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work from Ohio University Zanesville and became a Licensed Social Worker. Since then, I’ve worked as a therapist, collaboratively working alongside clients to help them achieve their goals and grow in the best of ways! Currently, I’m studying at Ohio University to obtain my Master of Social Work.

Empathy and kindness are the roots to my strength-based approach. I wholly believe that everyone is capable and worthy of healing, whatever that journey looks like.
